The concept of monitoring groups allows for grouping of devices and quick overview of groups. Every group is mentioned on the <b>Dashboard</b> and provides own statistics breakdown. NOTE that both statitics and number of devices in a group is not updated in real-time thus if you add or remove devices to/from a group, it may take up to two minutes for the <b>Dashboard</b> to reflect that change.

<p class = "text-justify">
The simplest use cases satisfied by monitoring groups:
<ul>
<li>Defining alerts for a group of devices or for a defined number of devices in that group</li>
<ul>
<li>Alert me when temperature of at least one of the devices in a group rises above 50 degrees of Celsius</li>
<li>Alert me when at least three devices in a group misses 5 or more data contacts to DWARFG_LONG server</li>
</ul>
<li>Gathering per-group statistics</li>
</ul>

<p class = "text-justify">
Note the default monitoring group named <b>All devices</b>. This group always contains all of the devices connected to DWARFG_LONG. By referring to the <b>All devices</b> group, you can construct alert that triggers for any device:
<ul>
<li>Alert me when at least one device in mon. group <b>All devices</b> ...</li>
</ul>
If you have a device that you want to exclude from the alerts being monitored on the <b>All devices</b> monitoring group, you may assign a <b>nogenalerts</b> system label to that device.

Also note that a device can be part of multiple monitoring groups.
